Through the years Cerberus has received several awards, and also BlackShore as a company has been honored for it's work contributing to making the world a better place. 

Cerberus: Map a Disaster

In 2012 Cerberus was multi- awarded involving the European Copernicus Masters Competition. At the time called GMES, with an early version of the Cerberus crowdsourcing platform, our novel idea did not only win the very high resolution challenge, but was awarded as the most innovative earth observation application across all challenges.

 

This award has been sponsored by many such as the European Commission, the European Space Agency and many other organizations acknowledging the importance of Earth Observation to face the challenges we all face today. Winning this award was the stepping stone for Cerberus and we never have stopped growing since then:

European Space Imaging High-Res Challenge 2012

European Space Imaging (EUSI) is Europe’s leading provider of Very High-Resolution (VHR) satellite data. EUSI has awarded the best application idea using the most advanced VHR satellite data. Application ideas which are easily implementable, sustainable, cut costs and create efficiencies have been of high interest. Participants needed to submit detailed application ideas including business concepts.


Prize:
The winner will be awarded a data package of EUSI satellite data worth up to EUR 20,000 for use in further developing the winning application.

The Winner: Cerberus - Crowdsourcing and e-learning platform, submitted by Hans Van ‘t Woud and Team from the Dutch company BlackShore.

2018: Netherlands Canadese Chamber of Commerce young professional award

By introducing several satellite derived mapping services BlackShore is investigating how it could benefit the Canadian economy ranging from Agriculture, forestry along the introduction of her capabilities using the power of the Cerberus crowd and educational methods.
 

2019: Winner innovation circle for Flower Science the Netherlands

Late 2019 we started working with help from the Rabobank Bollenstreek and the KAVB - Royal General flower Bulb-growers Association on directing the power of satellites back to the region where many of them are being tested before launch providing us with the tools to become smart about our land, and to solve todays challenges with the help from a bit of crowd.
